A Former Colleague Pointed a Gun at Me

I dreamed I saw a former colleague pointing a gun at me. He told me I was in a restricted area, and that I knew very well what happens. Then I heard my brother shouting that this guy would kill me and I had to run for my life. Where I stood, the ground was shallow. I looked up, saw steps going up, and ran for them.

Paul first shared this dream in the DreamEvaluator community group.

Our reading. One way to read it, the restricted area is a line Paul already knew he had crossed, and the colleague is that knowledge with a weapon in its hand. His brother’s voice cuts through all of it. Run. Paul listens. The steps are the detail worth keeping, because the ground where he stands is shallow, with nothing to hold on to, and the only way out goes up. Dreams set at work often borrow colleagues’ faces for feelings that are really about rules, blame, and who gets to say where you belong.

If your own dreams keep putting you in danger, the patterns behind being chased in a dream are a good place to start, and this longer look at chase dreams goes further.
